Privacy Policy
What OldPhotosLab collects, how uploaded photos are processed and stored, and how to delete your data.
Last updated: 2026-10-30
1. Who we are
OldPhotosLab ("we", "us") provides an online tool that repairs, restores and colorizes old photographs. This policy explains what we collect when you use oldphotoslab.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
2. Information we collect
- Account data — name, email address and authentication identifiers from email/password or Google sign-in.
- Photos and results — the images you upload, the settings you choose (tool, output resolution, focus and tone) and the images generated from them.
- Billing data — orders, subscription status and credit history. Card details are handled by the payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device information, timestamps and error logs, used for security, rate limiting and debugging.
- Cookies and local storage — session cookies for sign-in, a locale preference and interface settings.
3. How we use it
We use the data to provide the service (generate, store and deliver your restorations), manage accounts, credits and subscriptions, prevent abuse and credit farming, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
4. Photo processing and retention
- Uploaded photos and generated results are stored in our object storage (Cloudflare R2) and linked to your account so you can download them again.
- We do not use customer photos to train models.
- To process a photo, we send it to the AI provider configured for the site (for example APIMart or KIE). The provider processes it to return the result; its own terms and retention rules apply to that processing.
- You can delete a creation from your workspace. Deleting your account removes your account data and associated creations, subject to records we must keep for tax, fraud prevention or legal reasons.
- Backups and provider-side logs may persist for a short period after deletion.
5. Who we share data with
We share data only with processors needed to run the service: cloud hosting and storage (Cloudflare), payment providers, email delivery, AI model providers, and analytics if enabled by the site operator. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
6. Security
We use HTTPS in transit, encrypted storage, access controls and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights in your account settings, or by emailing us. We respond within the period required by applicable law.
8. Cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember your language. Optional analytics cookies are only set when the site operator enables them and, where required, after you consent through the cookie banner.
9. Children
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The "last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email where appropriate.
